Why Kwanzaa? By Dr. Karenga



Karenga gives some reasons why he created Kwanzaa in this youtube video. He doesn't state the reasons that he gave in his earliest writings where he claims that Kwanzaa was created to be an alternative to the Christmas holiday, but he lists some fairly generic reasons why he did create it.
